Some money has opened up in the Brooklyn Nets payroll since Shaun Livingston signed with the Golden State Warriors and the Nets have been hoping that they could spend it on Bojan Bogdanovic, whom they drafted in 2011.
The Nets are allowed to offer Bogdanovic their mini-Mid Level Exception that is worth up to three-years and $10.3 million and reports out of Europe are that he’s expected to sign, according to Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News.
Bogdanovic has spent the last few years in Turkey playing for Fenerbahce. He nearly signed with the Nets last offseason, but a $2 million buyout of his European contract caused problems. Currently, he is a free agent so there is no buyout to get in the way.
Bogdanovic, 25, averaged 14.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in the Euroleague last season.
