Michael Megafu had an amazing season with the St. Joseph’s Bears as he averaged 17 points and 10.5 rebounds per game with 17 double-doubles on the year. As expected, he has garnered some serious attention as a result and D3hoops.com named him to the 2014 men’s basketball All-Atlantic Region Second Team on Monday.

This is just Megafu’s latest award that he has racked up. He was also a USCAA Second Team All-American selection, a AD3I Co-Player of the year, a member of the All-Independent First team and was named to the HVIAC All-Conference Team.

Somehow his teammate David Louison didn’t make the team, but he also has been named to the USCAA First Team All-American and is a member of the National All-Academic Team, earned HVIAC All-Conference Team honors, and was the USCAA Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 18, to go with a bunch of other Player of the Week honors. Louison finished with 18.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in 27 games this year.

One other Brooklyn player did make the D3Hoops.com All-Atlantic Region Team — Michael Woods, who goes to York College, was named to the First Team.
