The Brooklyn Nets are in Charlotte Wednesday night to take on the Bobcats and on top of being without Kevin Garnett and Andrei Kirilenko, they could be without Deron Williams and Marcus Thornton as well.
D-Will missed shootaround early Wednesday due to an illness and Thornton, who left Monday’s game early and did not return, could miss the game with a back injury. It sounds like D-Will might still play, but Thornton was pessimistic when he spoke with reporters about it.
The Nets have already been shorthanded as they are without Garnett, who has missed 13 games already with back spasms, and Kirilenko, who has missed two games since hurting his ankle. This could mean a rough game for the Nets, who will be forced to rely on Jorge Gutierrez and Jason Collins more than they’d want to.
