The ASA College Lady Avengers are district champions and they’re headed to the National Junior College Athletic Association’s tournament as the No. 18 seed. They will head to Salina, Kansas to take on No. 15 New Mexico Junior College on Monday, March 17. Use this link to stream the game live.

The Avengers finished their season with an 18-3 overall record and a beat Monroe Community College 69-55 in the District C Championship last Saturday to advance to the national tournament. Brittany Jackson scored 22 points with nine rebounds and two steals in that game, Erica Juarbe had 16 and 15 boards and Colleene Smith had 12 and 12 rebounds.

This is the second year in a row that the Avengers have made it to the NJCAA national tournament. Last season they beat Western Nebraska Community College in the first round, but lost to Huchinson CC in the second.

If the Avengers beat New Mexico JC on Monday, they will play Chipola on Wednesday with quarterfinals on Thursday. Here is a link to the entire bracket.
