Put it in the bloggers — Andray Blatche Young Seymour could play for the Filipino national team this summer.

Andray Blatche told reporters on Thursday that he has been approached to play for the Filipino national team this summer in the FIBA World Cup and has already begun the process of becoming a naturalized citizen to do it.

“Listen, I want y’all to put this in your bloggers, in your papers, your website, my name is Young Seymour, alright?” Blatche told Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News  I’ve changed my name cause the crowd want to see more.”

Blatche, who was approached by ex-teammate Javale McGee with the idea, initially told reporters that he was half Filipino, before Joe Johnson set the record straight. “I know he is full of shit,” Johnson said.

“It came out of left field. After one of our games my best friend told me about it, asked if I was interested, I said, “Yeah, I’ll go. It’ll help me get ready for training camp and the season,’” Blatche said. “I told him I said I’m interested, so there’s a good chance of it happening.”
