Seton Hall might play their games in New Jersey, but the Pirates will have a Brooklyn feel to them next season as Isaiah Whitehead, Khadeen Carrington, and now Desi Rodriguez, a teammate of Whitehead’s at Lincoln High School, will be on the team there next season.
Brian Flinn of Future 150 initially announced the commitment early Monday evening, but Rodriguez confirmed the news himself on Facebook when he posted the update: “Just committed to Seton Hall. #BigEastBound.”
The Brooklyn trio will be joined by others in an exciting freshman class that will also include four-star recruit Angel Delgado and Ismael Sanogo.
Rodriguez came over to Lincoln after spending two years at Frederick Douglass Academy in the Bronx. He averaged 12.1 points with 8.7 rebounds per game in his first year at Lincoln before he was the MVP of the Public School Athletic League’s city championship game with 16 points. He’s averaging 25.5 points with 13.7 rebounds per game in four league games so far this season.
