Brooklyn Collegiate’s Jahlil Tripp shot in the leg

Brooklyn Collegiate head coach Jacob Edwards told Greg Thompson of News12 Brooklyn that junior guard Jahlil Tripp was hit by a stray bullet in the calf Friday night by “neighborhood boys” that were driving around. Edwards said that the wound caused no structural damage and that Tripp will be off his feet for the next two weeks before going back to see the doctor.

Tripp has offers from Manhattan and Quinnipiact recently, per Thompson and was off to a good start with 16 points and 11 rebounds in a 84-73 victory over Boys and Girls on Dec. 5.

Brooklyn Collegiate will head to Lincoln on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Follow @BkEagleSports on Twitter for live updates during that game.
