St. Francis Brooklyn Men’s Soccer player Kevin Correa was named Northeast Conference’s Player of the Week during a week when he the Terriers beat St. Peter’s and Howard behind three goals and two assists for the Queens-native, the NEC announced on Monday.
Correa, a junior, scored the first ever goal at the Brooklyn Bridge Park on Tuesday and wasted no time doing it as he scored during the second minute. That was his only goal that day, but he followed that up with a pair of goals and two assists against Howard as he contributed to every goal the Terriers scored that day.
This is Correa’s first Player of the Week honors. He was named Rookie of the Week twice last season. Correa currently leads the conference with five goals and 12 points. His two assists put him in the top five. Correa has scored at least one goal in each of the past four games matching a streak that he enjoyed in Oct. last season.
