Nets players Terry and Plumlee participate in “Dads Take Your Child to School Day”

A couple of Brooklyn Nets players, Jason Terry and Mason Plumlee, along with Nets CEO Brett Yormark, were in Fort Greene early Tuesday morning to participate in “Dads Take Your Child to School Day” which was hosted by the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development.

The event was designed to strengthen parent engagement and help non-custodial fathers reconnect with their children. Terry, Plumlee, and Yormark were on hand as participants met at the Ingersoll Community Center at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, walked to Middle School 265 and P.S. 46, and culminated in a pep rally at M.S. 265 where students got Brooklyn Nets drawstring book bags and school supplies.

This was just another example of the Nets helping out in the Brooklyn community which is good to see. It’s especially nice to see newcomers Terry and Plumlee participate. They haven’t been here long, but they’re already connecting with Brooklynites. Check out a few pictures from the event below.
