HIGH SCHOOL GAME OF THE WEEK

WHO: No. 2 Lincoln (2-0) @ Tottenville (1-1)

WHEN: Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Tottenville High School

WHY THIS GAME IS IMPORTANT: This will be the biggest test that Lincoln has faced so far this season. As the Railsplitters are vying for the No. 1 spot in Brooklyn this will be a big win to add to their resume and one they must add as No. 1 Erasmus Hall has already beaten Tottenville during the first week of the season.

Lincoln also has a bit of unfinished business against Tottenville too as the Pirates were the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year on the very same field that they will play on this Friday. A win wouldn’t make up for that entirely, not by any stretch, but losing twice to them is something that Lincoln surely won’t stand for.

The Railsplitters have also racked up 40 points in each of their first two games as their offense looks otherworldly. This will be a good test of how good the offense actually is as the Pirates’ biggest strength, aside from running back Andrew Russo, is their defense. They’re simply stacked out there with Rocco Fama on the line and James Munson there to get anything that gets past Fama.

Lincoln is technically No. 2 in Brooklyn right now. This is a test to see how good they actually are. Another 40-0 blowout and it might be hard to keep from moving them to the top spot even if E-Hall beats Campus Magnet this weekend.
