The Brooklyn Nets Euro-stash Bojan Bogdanovic might not be coming to the NBA anytime soon, but he’s recently been playing in the elite FIBA EuroBasket tournament until his team, Croatia, was eliminated by Lithuania last Friday.
Not only was Croatia eliminated from the tournament, but it didn’t even medal as it lost out on a shot at the bronze when Spain beat them 92-66 on Sunday. Bogdanovic led the game with 22 points, four rebounds and an assist.
In 11 games, Bogdanovic scored 17.4 points with 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 51.0 percent and 31.0 percent from behind the arc. For his impressive effort, he was named to the All-Tournament Team. His overall performance also prompted Zach Lowe of Grantland to declare him ready for the NBA and A.J. Mitnick of Sheridan Hoops said that if he were in this year’s draft, he would have been a top five pick.
