The Brooklyn Nets’ newest draft pick, Mason Plumlee, took to Instagram over the weekend to show off his latest swag — his first official Nets jersey. It looks like the center, who isn’t expecting to get much playing time next year, will be wearing No. 1 on his back.
The 23-year-old Plumlee was drafted in the first round of the 2013 NBA draft 22nd overall. Before that he played center at Duke where he was Second Team All-American and First Team All-ACC in 2013. He also took home the Pete Newell Big Man Award this season and was a backup on the 2010 NCAA championship team. Before college he was a McDonald’s All-American in 2009 and was a four-star recruit out of Christ School in North Carolina.
