Jen Fay, a 5-foot-10 senior forward at Nazareth High School in Flatbush has verbally committed to play ball at Quinnipiac University next year, according to Joseph Staszewski of the Community News Group.

Fay got a late start in the recruiting process after she missed her entire sophomore season due to a knee injury that required surgery, but she ended up with 15 scholarship offers before committing to Quinnipiac. She ultimately chose the Connecticut school as it showed the most interest in her.

“She was telling me I am a priority,” Fay told Staszewski. “She had to get me up here. I know as long as I go there and work hard I am going to play.”

Fay is considered a strong outside shooter and rebounder and improved defensively as she got farther away from her knee injury. She’s expected to start and play a vital role with the Lady Kingsmen this season.
