Even after Lincoln High School’s five-star recruit Isaiah Whitehead had a ton of offers and flirted with the idea of going to Syracuse, he recently came out and said that he’s open to considering new offers. One of the more recent schools that has emerged has been Indiana, who swooped in at the last minute and may even become favorites to land the Coney Island guard.
Fresh off a MVP performance at the Elite 24 in Brooklyn, Whitehead flew to Indiana on a visit and afterward tweeted that he, “had a great time.”
Indiana was able to swoop in recently after James Blackmon Jr. de-committed and Whitehead certainly talks like he’s interested telling as he told Zach Braziller of the NY Post last week, “They were No. 1 in the country for [several] weeks last year. They have a legendary coach, their fan base is crazy, they have a great campus.”
Whitehead has said that he plans on committing sometime around November. He has five official visits and plans to use all of them. He will set the dates of those visits by Labor Day. Other schools in Whitehead’s list include Syracuse, Minnesota, UCLA, and Arizona. He recently picked up offers from Georgetown and Pittsburgh as well.
