If you follow Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams on Twitter then you already know that he’s a fan of dodgeball. He’s taking that fandom to another level by teaming up with The World Dodgeball Society to host the “first annual” Dodge Barrage NYC, a dodgeball tournament at Basketball City in Manhattan next month.

Here is the invitation:

There also will be a live auction a high-end raffle and an exclusive VIP after-party. The event will attract corporate sponsors, and VIPs and media outlets, as well as local and national celebrities and athletes.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Point of Hope Foundation and New York Collaborates for Autism.

This is not the first Dodgeball tournament D-Will has hosted either as he did it a few years ago while he was playing in Utah. It sounds pretty cool. I plan on attending at least to take pictures…that is unless I can put together a team. Does this site have enough readers yet to pull together 10 people?
