New York City is spoiled when it comes to sports and especially baseball with the Mets, Yankees, Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Yankees. The latter get little attention compared to their major league counterparts, but they certainly sport two of the nicest minor league stadiums in the country.
Their stadiums are so nice, in fact, that USA Today Travel has them listed among the 10 best minor league ball parks in the nation and you can vote on which of the 10 is the best.
I tend to think that Staten Island’s stadium is beautiful with amazing views of New York Harbor. However, Brooklyn just wins because, one, it’s Brooklyn, and two, because Coney Island is a great place to see a ball game. It’s ballpark is great on its own, but then you throw in the boardwalk, the beach, the rides, Nathan’s, and the fact that you get to see professional baseball in Brooklyn and to me it can’t be topped.
So head over to 10best.com and vote for MCU Park. If you aren’t going to vote for MCU, just pretend you didn’t see this.
