It was a beautiful day in Brooklyn on Friday and a great day for the Nets to send some of their staffers to Prospect Park in an effort to help cleanup parts of the park.
“(Friday’s) volunteer event at Prospect Park was truly a team effort between Brooklyn Nets and National Grid employees,” said Jeff Scott, Director of Community Relations for the Brooklyn Nets. “We rolled up our sleeves and got dirty by removing invasive weeds that have overgrown areas of the park. We pulled weeds, picked up litter, raked and swept to make sure the park remains a beautiful retreat for Brooklyn residents and visitors.
“The successful day was a part of Brooklyn Nets Assist which remains committed to giving back and improving the communities we serve.”
