For the first time since he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, Paul Pierce addressed the trade on his Twitter account with a very nice salute to the fans of Boston tweeting, “I’m going to share some of my favorite Boston memories on my new Instagram account. #THANKYOUBOSTON.”
Pierce then proceeded to post 44 pictures from his time in Beantown and finished with a photo that included the caption, “Boston, you’ve been my home for the last 15 years. Together we’ve been through it all. I could not be more grateful for all of your support and Boston will forever be part of who I am.”
That’s a classy move. Afterall, he didn’t ask to be traded. Some players might have been bitter, but instead he’s just focused on the positive. Brooklyn isn’t just getting a good player, they’re getting a nice and thoughtful guy as well.
